7.1 Apply technology to the delivery of standards-based instruction.
The technology that I applied to the delivery of standard based instruction started with the application of the podcast. However, I gained the most ability at this new medium in the creation and submission of the Digital Storytelling and SMART Presentation assignments. Each of these assignments was highly technical in content and required knowledge of new teaching mediums.

7.2 Use technology to increase student achievement.
In the WebQuest and SMART Presentation assignments, a good knowledge of tech manipulation is required to complete them. Each of these has a technological as well as a visual aspect that is needed to achieve the best results and the best grades. They can also act as a supplement to a traditional lecture class and allow for more creative ways to gain and retain information.

7.3 Utilize technology to manage and communicate information.
By composing and fusing different aspects of video, audio and practical learning tools, especially in the Digital Storytelling, WebQuest and SMART Board assignments information is communicated and managed in new and different ways. The style of the presentation can be changed based on outside factors and is malleable based on the student’s learning style and knowledge base.

7.4 Apply technology to data-driven assessments of learning.
The Digital Storytelling, WebQuest and SMART Board artifacts can be used to effectively asses learning. The WebQuest is considered complete only when the oral presentation and final paper is turned in. In addition, the subjects and concepts discussed in each artifact allow for content in testing and graded assignments.

7.5 Instruct students in basic technology skills.
By requiring students to navigate through each artifact, like the SMART Board presentation, students are given hands on access and practice in using technology skills. Word processing tools, as well as various graphic and presentational tools (such as Power Point) open the door for more complete comprehension of technology.
